Bio
BioDr. Kevin Schultz is an assistant program manager for Alternative Computing Paradigms in APL’s Research and Exploratory Development Mission Area. His work spans electrical engineering, neuroscience and biology, and quantum information. His diverse background has enabled contributions in swarming and distributed systems, resilience engineering, command and control, and naval machinery automation. His recent research focuses on characterization and control problems in quantum information, including experimental validation of characterization protocols, neuromimetic approaches to distributed control problems, and applications of graph signal processing to emergence in distributed systems. Additional areas of expertise include applied mathematics; control theory; distributed systems; quantum computing, control, and sensing; signal processing; and simulation and characterization of quantum systems.
