U.S. Air Force, ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ APL Hypersonic Experiment Soars and Collects Vital Data
The BOLT-1B experiment collected data about boundary layer transition (the flow of air around the skin of a hypersonic vehicle), which increases hypersonic vehicle drag and aerodynamic heating. That data will be used by researchers to validate new and more accurate modeling and prediction methods during the design of hypersonic vehicles.

Europa Clipper Solar Arrays Mounted and Ready for Journey to Jupiter
Gearing up for its scheduled launch this October, NASA’s Europa Clipper spacecraft has now been fitted with its solar array wings. Managed by ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ APL and designed by Airbus Netherlands B.V., these colossal parts will have an equally giant role in harvesting vital light to power the spacecraft and its nine science instruments while in Jupiter’s dim environment.
