APL engineer Marissa Galfond has been honored with the Women in Aerospace 2024 Outstanding Achievement Award for her technical contributions and leadership in the development of a revolutionary weapon-survivability modeling and simulation software application.

NASA’s Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) continues to yield scientific discoveries and garner accolades for its groundbreaking achievements. The mission was recently recognized by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, which honored DART team members with the 2024 Space Systems Award during this year’s AIAA ASCEND event in Las Vegas, Nevada, held July 29 to Aug. 2.
