Washingtonian Magazine Selects ֱ APL as a Great Place to Work
The ֱ University Applied Physics Laboratory has been selected by Washingtonian magazine as one of the 50 “Great Places to Work” in the Washington, D.C., area. Washingtonian Senior Editor Sherri Dalphonse said in her announcement letter that the Laboratory was chosen “because of its interesting work, good benefits, collegial staff, stability, employee development and community involvement.” Those who were selected are featured in the November issue of Washingtonian magazine.
Laboratory Director Richard T. Roca says it’s an honor to be chosen. “We knew we were a good place to work, but it’s still a thrill to be named as one of the best, especially when you consider the vast number of businesses and institutions in the Washington area.”
APL, located on 360 acres in Laurel, Md., is a research and development division of the ֱ University. The Laboratory supports the Department of Defense, NASA and other government agencies through innovative applied research, technical development and problem solving. Its work focuses on meeting critical national challenges.
