Daniel Wilt
Dan Wilt is the APL Colloquium Chair and a member of the Research & Exploratory Development Department. In addition to his enterprise-related responsibilities, he performs research in the areas of fiber-optic communications, undersea cables, electronic devices, reliability, and hardware security. Prior to joining APL in 2005, he was with Bell Labs for 24 years doing R&D in fiber-optic communications. He is an IEEE Fellow, and a Bell Laboratories Fellow, and a member of the APL Principal Professional Staff. He received his PhD in Applied Physics from Caltech, and his AB in Math and Physics from the University of Southern California.
