ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ University¡¯s Graduate Certificate in Applied Science expands your world by teaching how science is applied to the different parts of our world, solving problems and nourishing progress.

If you love solving problems and are fascinated by science, the Graduate Certificate in Applied Science is for you.  Through this programme, you¡¯ll cultivate an understanding of how science has played a vital part in the evolution of industry, agriculture, medicine, communications and transport. And coming from New Zealand¡¯s only specialist land-based agribusiness and ecosystems university, you¡¯ll see how science is guiding the management and conservation of our biosphere and its precious resources.

Programme information

Programme Structure

The Graduate in Applied Science is a flexible programme that covers subjects from Environmental Management to Soil Science to Transport Studies, that can normally be completed in a single semester of full-time study..

You require 60 credits with a minimum of 45 credits at 300 level from courses listed in the Schedule of Courses from:

  • Bachelor of Agricultural Science
  • Bachelor of Science
  • Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology 

The remaining 15 credits can be selected from the Schedule of Courses. A course advisor will help to ensure that your course choices form a coherent study programme.
