What you will learn
After successfully completing this course, you¡¯ll be able to:
- Explain microeconomic concepts including demand and supply, elasticity, productivity, market structures and market failures.
- Explain macroeconomic concepts including income distribution and the structure of the financial economy including the calculation of key national economic measures.
- Apply microeconomic and macroeconomic principles to private and public management of business, environmental and social problems.
- Demonstrate the use of key statistical tools including descriptive statistics, frequency distributions and probability, hypothesis testing, simple linear regression and correlation.
