Living in ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥

Our campus is a key part of the ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ township, a thriving semi-rural community of around 10,000 people.

ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥ is located in the Selwyn District of the Canterbury region, 22 kilometres southwest of the South Island's largest city, ?tautahi Christchurch.

The university brings an extra 4000 people to the area every semester, creating a friendly ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥oriented culture, with local businesses making a special effort to help our students feel welcome.

A number of other research facilities with strong connections to the university are situated in ÃØÃÜÖ±²¥, including:

More than 400 people are employed at these organisations, adding to the town's dynamic feel.

You will become part of a super-friendly community with a great selection of eateries, caf¨¦s, pubs and  shops. There is also a local craft market and a farmers¡¯ market for buying locally-grown produce.
